Professional Electricians Program

The IEC Dallas Professional Electrician Program is designed for people with four or more years experience working as a field electrician.

The PEP program is not designed to replace Apprenticeship training. It is intended to provide code and theory learned in apprenticeship programs, improving one's skills to keep them competitive in today's job market.

The program consists of 18 week courses and can be taken individually or as a total 2 year certificate program.

Basic Electrical Training

IEC Dallas' BASIC ELECTRICAL course offers the novice in the electrical industry an in-depth look at basic electricity with terminology, explanations and the "how's and why's" of electrical equipment, parts and supplies. BASIC ELECTRICAL is designed to help those who work in the industry in jobs that either:

  • 1) do not involve electrical installation or,
  • 2) are beginner's in field electrical construction.

Electrical Tradesman

In today's competitive marketplace, workers who lack the necessary skills to perform work will be left behind and without a job.

That's why it's important to provide training for a worker who has basic skills but has not had the opportunity to learn in a classroom setting. IEC Dallas' two year Tradesmen Training program is designed for the experienced tradesman.

Students will be given the opportunity to learn electrical theory and installation procedures and practices from an experienced Master Electrician, using state-of-the art curriculum and technology in a classroom environment.
